Since 2019, EAAW has been involved in a campaign against animal cruelty especially chickens raised in cages.
This work has been done in collaboration with various stakeholders including the media. The main goal being to educate the farmers community and Tanzanians in general not to be involved in this cruelty.
EAAW has been largely empowered by anti-poultry cruelty stakeholders such as the Open Wing Alliance and the Center for Effective Altruism. In order to ensure that the community gets accurate information that can help eliminate cruelty against laying hens that are raised in cages, EAAW has collaborated with the media in spreading the information to the community, where one of the activities carried out by the media in collaboration with EAAW is to spread the Corporate accountability report published by Open Wing Alliance of 2022.
In addition, EAAW has participated in the preparations, translating and distributing to the media the World Equity Index Report issues by Mercy for Animals.
The Center for Effective Altruism has been helping and collaborating with EAAW in producing and disseminating various information related to the rights of farmed animals, especially chickens that are raised in Cages.
